graphic designer, painter, art educator – Paula Scher
Scher was the first designer to create a new identity and promotional graphics system for The Public Theater, a program that became the turning point of identity in designs that influence much of the graphic design created for theatrical promotion and for cultural institutions in general. Although this is one of her most famous works, she took part in many other projects and she became one of the most influential graphic designers in the world. In addition, she also served as the first female principal at Pentagram, which she joined in 1991.
